Mission To The Destitute Children:
Tumaini Children Ministry is a philanthropic Project in Nyeri Kenya. It was started under the stewardship of the Very Reverend Muindi of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa at Riamukurwe Parish. The project was in response to the growing number of street children and families which result from high mortality rate due to among others: HIV and AIDS, Politically motivated violence and consequent Internal displacement of the population, Famine and Poverty among others. The project has received support from benefactors from within and abroad. Notably,The Outreach Foundation, Hope Run and Think Kindness

Sugarbaker Memorial Clinic and catering Unit:
Strategically located in the Surbab of Nyeri Town, Sugarbaker Memorial Clinic stands tall, and out of the from the sorrounding structures. It's beauty and refined touch a testimony of dedication and kindness from it's benefactors. The clinic combines a Medical and Catering Unit headed by a qualified Clinical Officer and serving the lay community, mostly members of a poor community in the neighbourhood. The clinic is largely sponsored by an American family in commemoration of Dr. Everett Sugarbaker, after whom the facility is named.
Among the services offered at the clinic is Curative Medicine, preventive Medicines and vaccinations, Diagnostics and Diseases Control, Nutrition Health, Maternal and Child Health Services, HIV and STI prevention, Voluntary Counselling and Testing as well as referrals.
The full catering unit comprises among other facilities: Conference hall, full boarding facility, seminar hall and a guest house. The conference hall is available for hire to members of the public. |
